25 <br /> Millhouse Road Park <br /> Project Category County Project Status: Active Project Type <br /> Functional Service Area: Community Services Proposed Bid Date: TBD New <br /> Department: DEAPR Starting Date: 7/1/2021 Expansion x <br /> Project Number: 20034 Completion Date: 6/30/2024 Renovation <br /> Replacement <br /> Project Description/Justification: <br /> Millhouse Road Park is a planned Town of Chapel Hill/Orange County partnership using a <br /> 50-50 split-funding concept.The development of a master plan for the facility and an <br /> Interlocal agreement with the Town of Chapel Hill are currently in the planning phase,and <br /> the Town has included this project in their CIP consistent with this timeframe while currently <br /> evaluating project priorities. <br /> Funding of$300,000 is requested in FY2020-21 for remediation and other work on the <br /> farmhouse. The requested funding in FY2021-22 is for design and engineering services that <br /> will follow a planned joint facility master plan slated to be completed in early 2021,followed <br /> by construction in FY2022-23. <br /> The Millhouse Road Park is a 79-acre site just north of Chapel Hill. It was acquired in 2004 <br /> (69 acres)and 2007(10 acres)as a future park site with discussion to date focused on a <br /> soccer field complex for southern Orange County with some walking trails and other <br /> amenities. Cost estimates are extrapolated from the existing Soccer.com Center,adjusting <br /> for time.
