Fred called the meeting to order at 6:33pm. <br /> II. Brad moved to approve the September 2020 minutes. Krista seconded. <br /> III. Advisory Board Update <br /> a. Welcome to new board members Sean Bailey and Matthew Keith. <br /> b. We need to appoint a new liaison from the board to the <br /> Chapel Hill/Orange County Tourism Board <br /> IV. Director's Report: <br /> a. Orange County Arts Support Fund <br /> This is ongoing with the WHUP 50150 drive. One half <br /> of the proceeds will be used to support musicians in the <br /> county. <br /> b. Grants program update <br /> Contracts will be going out tomorrow for grassroots and <br /> progress grants. Katie is working with the ArtsCenter to <br /> align applications for the schools. The roster will be set <br /> around the first of the month. 3-5 board members will <br /> need to serve on the panel for Arts in Education. The <br /> school system should have paid the ArtsCenter for its <br /> service in the fall and spring. Katie will notify them <br /> regarding this issue. <br /> c. Paint it NC <br /> This is a virtual event involving artists from the mountains <br /> to the beach. Painters may include up to 5 paintings. Early <br /> preview tickets can be purchased from OCAC and the <br /> Hillsborough Arts Council for $25. Sales will be handled by <br /> the artists. <br /> d. NC Cares for the Arts Grant Program <br /> These grants, made available by the state, are open <br /> October 12—30 to nonprofits, businesses, and individuals. <br /> Details are being worked out. We need panel reviewers for this. <br />
