Previous volunteer for Triangle Nonprofit and Leadership
Center (trainer for Service Enterprise Initiative). Attendee of Chapel Hill and Hillsborough
Chamber of Commerce events. Soon-to-be member of Orange/Chatham Association of
Realtors. Currently establishing new professional life (Chapel Hill Notary, Cozy Home
Photography, and soon to be Realtor/Broker). Very excited to have a more flexible
schedule that will allow me to be a bigger part of the community now!
*Note on Orange County residency. First lived here 1994-1999, moved away and
returned to Durham County from 2008-2014, then Orange County again from 2017 to
present.
Past Service on Orange County Advisory Boards:
I have not have the opportunity to serve on an Advisory Board in the past and am very
excited to now have a schedule that allows for more commitment to the community.
Age Range:35-59
Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau
Background, education and experience relevant to this board:
Having lived in Orange County off and on since 1994, I have longevity that allows me to speak
about the dynamic nature of the area and the amazing growth and development it has seen over
the years. I have been involved with the University, the music community, and the local schools
(my son is a 5th grader at Ephesus elementary) and can speak broadly about them with ease.
As the former Executive Director of University Career Services at UNC, I have considerable
familiarity with the business sector in the county. As I transition my professional life, I seek even
further community connection. I have advanced communication and social media skills,
motivation and desire, organizational and outreach skills, and time to dedicate to the cause!
20
