I am on the conservation committee of the NC <br />Botanical Gardens Foundation as well as a steering committee member and policy <br />committee member of the Eno-New Hope Conservation Collaborative. <br />Past Service on Orange County Advisory Boards: <br />I was formerly a staff support for the Commission for the Environment. <br />Age Range:35-59 <br />Commission for the Environment <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />I have a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management with a technical focus in <br />Ecological Restoration. My carreer for the last 10 years has focused on land conservation and <br />management in the NC triangle. I am the former Orange County Land Conservation Manager <br />and the am currently the Director of Conservation and Stewardship for the Eno River <br />Association. My background is relevant to this board because it brings a strong land <br />conservation and management prespective on issues facing Orange County. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I want to see a continued focus on land conservation and sound environmental management in <br />Orange County. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />I do work for the Eno River Association and we often partner with Orange County on <br />conservation land acquisitions, but given that this board does not make those recommendations <br />to the BOCC, I do not see a conflict of interest. <br />Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br />From my knowledge of this group, I know that most serving are most knowledgable about air <br />and energy and that a land perspective is needed. <br />7
