Otherwise, relevant education and background are that I have an <br />advanced degree (PhD), which I hope will support my candidacy. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I have a strong concern for the environment, and see this area as a place where I would see a <br />particular consciousness for this issue. But there is much to be done here, so I hope to help put <br />forward ideas and strategies--in terms of outreach in all cases, and policy or incentives where <br />possible--that would be supportive of the environment. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />I am happy to report that I have no conflicts of interest. <br />Animal Services Hearing Panel Pool <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />I have committee experience as an academic in university settings. I also have training in <br />conflict resolution (via workshops),which I feel is beneficial potentially. <br />I have a PhD, have served on several committees, and have some background second-hand <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I believe that animal and animal control issues are of high priority here, including the idea of no- <br />kill shelters, animal sponsoring and fostering and their outreach, creation of green spaces <br />usable for both animal-owners and non-animal owners, as well as <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Application Date:8/9/2017 <br />30
