-->Notes
110 General Light Industrial -->151 Mini-Warehouse
We used mini-warehouse because light industrial has extremely small Saturday data sample
sizes. Also, expect mini-warehouse to generate more trips on weekend than light industrial so a
conservative assumption.
We used rate rather than equation for LUC 151 because it provides a higher trip generation
value for a 150,000 SF facility.
310 Hotel -->310 Hotel We used equation rather than rate because it provides a higher trip generation value for a 120
room facility.
720 Medical Office Building -->720 Medical Office Building We used rate rather than equation because it provides a higher trip generation value for an
8,000 SF facility.
826 Specialty Retail -->820 Shopping Center (General Retail)
We used LUC 826 data from ITE 9th Ed. because LUC 826 is not included in ITE 10th Ed.
From 9th Ed., we used the equation to determine total daily trips for a 30,000 SF facility
(resulting in 1321 daily trips).
From 10th Ed., we used the weekday daily distribution for LUC 820 to estimate the percent of
total daily trips which would be expected to occur in the Saturday peak hour (data indicated 10%
of daily trips occur during the peak hour, which equates to 132 peak hour trips). We assumed a
50-50 directional split.
912 Drive-In Bank -->912 Drive-In Bank
We did not use Saturday peak hour of generator data because it includes massive variation for
3,500 SF facilities.
Instead, we used the weekday daily distribution to estimate the percent of total daily trips which
would be expected to occur in the Saturday peak hour (data indicated 11% of daily trips occur
during the peak hour. We assumed a 50-50 directional split.
930 Fast Casual Restaurant
932 High-Turnover Sit-Down Restaurant
We assumed all restaurant space was high-turnover sit-down restaurant due to the lack of
Saturday data for fast casual restaurant.
Table 3 - Saturday Trip Generation Notes
Weekday Weekend
932 High-Turnover Sit-Down Restaurant-->
739
