Buc-ee’s Phase 2 – Efland, NC <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />5.4 Background Traffic <br /> <br />Background traffic volumes, which include existing and historic growth traffic, are shown on <br />Figures 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 for the AM and PM peak hours, respectively. <br /> <br />5.5 Site Traffic <br /> <br />The proposed site traffic was generated and assigned to the adjacent roadway network according <br />to the distribution discussed previously in Section 4.0. The site traffic volumes for the AM and <br />PM peak hours are shown in Figures 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6, respectively. <br /> <br />5.6 Build-Out Traffic <br /> <br />To obtain the projected (2023) build-out traffic volumes, the projected site traffic was added to <br />the projected (2023) background traffic. Traffic volume calculations are detailed in intersection <br />spreadsheets in the Appendix of this report. Figures 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6 show the projected (2023) <br />AM and PM peak hour build-out traffic volumes, respectively. <br />457
