One (1) space for every three hundred (300) square feet of retail floor space within a Car <br />Wash facility (not including space within the tunnel). There shall be no maximum number of vacuum <br />spaces or standard spaces allowed. <br />3. One (1) space for every two hundred (200) square feet of floor area and five (5) stacking <br />spaces per drive-in window within a Bank or Financial Institution. <br />4. One (1) space for every three hundred (300) square feet of floor area within an Office or <br />Service facility. <br />5. One (1) parking space for every four (4) seats or 1 space for every fifty (50) square feet of <br />floor area for public use, whichever is greater, within a Restaurant (Eating and Drinking <br />Establishment). <br />6. One (1) space per lodging unit within a Hotel (Short Term Rental; Non-Host Occupied) <br />plus one (1) space per shift employee <br />7. One (1) space per one thousand (1,000) square feet of floor area within a Manufacturing <br />facility. <br />8. All other light industrial except as listed above shall have one space per one thousand <br />(1,000) square feet of floor area. <br />J. All parking lot spaces, unless otherwise designated, shall be a minimum of nine (9) feet by eighteen <br />(18) feet. <br />K. The overall maximum amount of surface parking permitted for the entire development combined <br />(with the exception of Development Area 1 and associated car wash facilities), shall be 20% over the <br />required minimum per total Development Area. Development Area 1 and associated car wash facilities <br />shall have no maximum number of spaces allowed. <br />L. Required parking spaces may be reduced by thirty percent (30%) within a given Development Area <br />or other development area if the developer adheres to the following: <br /> <br />1. The spaces allotted for each individual use shall be shown on the application for a Zoning <br />Compliance Permit, <br /> <br />2. The distance from the farthest allotted space to the main entrance of a structure housing <br />the use that it is intended to serve not to be more than four hundred (400) feet, <br />3. The spaces shall be located within the same Development Area or within four hundred <br />(400) feet of the proposed use to qualify for a reduction on the required parking, <br />4. Twenty percent (20%) may be compact car parking with a dimension of eight (8) feet in <br />width and sixteen (16) feet in depth. <br />M. All required parking spaces shall be improved with asphalt, concrete or other similar material as <br />approved by the County, <br />N. Handicapped parking shall be provided in accordance with the standards of the State of North <br />Carolina Building Code. <br />O. All lease agreements, or individual sales documents, for future tenants shall include provisions <br />requiring the installation and maintenance of bicycle racks or other similar secure location for the storage <br />of bicycles within the development. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTION 3-4 SERVICE AND STORAGE <br />37
