UNC Set for Road Game
Protocols
BYGREG BARNES Sep 30, 8:22 PM
•
•
•
3
From: https://247sports.com/college/north-carolina/Article/Trademark-
applications-surface-for-Michael-Jordans-NASCAR-team-153203072/
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 12 North Carolina will once again experience a first
in the time of coronavirus this week when it takes its first road trip of the 2020
football season.
The Tar Heels will depart on Friday for Chestnut Hill, a small village split
between Boston, Brookline and Newton in Eastern Massachusetts. Kickoff
against Boston College at Alumni Stadium is set for 3:30 p.m. (ABC).
UNC returned to campus in June and constructed a makeshift bubble around
the Kenan Football Center in an effort to keep COVID-19 out, and save for a
cluster of cases in early July that halted summer workouts, Mack Brown and
his staff have succeeded in keeping their players out of quarantine. That
methodology will depart the normalized confines of Chapel Hill for the first
time this weekend, bringing with it a new set of protocols for the Tar Heels.
The staff and players have grown accustomed to gaiters at the practice fields,
although those won’t be good enough for air travel. The team will shift to N95
respirator masks for the plane and those will have to stay on for the duration
of the flight in addition to the bus rides.
