10/28/2020 <br /> 2 <br />Chapel Hill Town <br />Council <br />Equity Only April and May meeting minutes available <br />• The Council recommended a Police Advisory Board <br />Carrboro Town <br />Council <br />Social <br />Determinants of <br />Health <br />• The Town Council passed resolutions that address <br />increasing maximum grant for the Rental Assistance <br />Program and supporting community organizations <br />providing affordable housing assistance. <br />• The town approves a Citizen Police Review Task Force to <br />reform/transform policing <br />• The town is now a member of GARE and is committed to <br />continued funding of this initiative <br />Hillsborough Board <br />of Commissioners <br />Regular Meetings <br />Social <br />Determinants of <br />Health <br />• The Commissioners passed a resolution acknowledging <br />the death of George Floyd. The Police Chief also <br />provided an extensive presentation to the <br />Commissioners outlining statistics, department data, <br />and how the department is responding to community <br />requests for safer policing. <br />• The town is planning to create a community-driven task <br />force on reimagining public safety. <br />Transit Advisory <br />Services/OCPT) <br />Social <br />Determinants <br />The Transit Advisory Services has only met in September and <br />meeting minutes are not yet available. <br />Healthy Carolinians <br />of Orange County <br />All • Finalized and released the 2019 Community Health <br />Assessment (CHA) <br />• Developed the 3 new priority areas, that were identified in <br />the CHA <br />a. Health Behaviors <br />b. Access to Care <br />c. Health Equity <br />• Has been meeting monthly with each group to determine <br />goals and strategies that coincide with each priority <br />area. The plan is to have action plans completed by the <br />end of this year. <br />a. Health Behavior Committee <br />i. Result/Goal - All children, adults and families <br />in Orange County are healthy by way of <br />collaborative promotion and development of <br />resources and opportunities that help <br />individuals and families identify, define and <br />create healthy living habits for themselves <br />and communities that they are a part of. <br />ii. Strategy Interest Area 1 – To look at <br />alcohol/tobacco outlet density and determine <br />what the density is in Orange County. <br />1.
