(See <br /> Attachment 1, column #11) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br /> necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br /> themselves and their dependents. <br /> Orange County Schools — Technical Amendment <br /> 15.At its October 6, 2020 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved the use of <br /> $120,000 in available Emergency Housing Assistance program funds to fund 800 Hot <br /> Spots for Orange County Schools (OCS) at a cost of $150 each. However, the abstract <br /> (Action Agenda Item #8-f) did not include a budget amendment number, nor did it have a <br /> budget ordinance number. This technical amendment provides for the inclusion of the <br /> item on this budget amendment. (See Attachment 1, column #12) <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There are no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impacts associated with these agenda items, other than agenda item #1. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds in FY 2020-21 and <br /> increases the General Fund by $937,144; decreases the Housing Choice Voucher Fund by <br /> $50,000; increases the Community Development Fund by $867,803; increases the Multi-year <br /> Grant Projects Fund by $15,000, increases the Visitors Bureau Fund by $13,500, increases the <br /> County Capital Projects Fund by $1,254,257, increases the Community Giving Fund by $7,755, <br /> and decreases the Drug Forfeiture Fund by $25,000. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the budget, grant, and <br /> capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2020-21. <br />
