At its September 1, 2020 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved a <br /> budget up to $137,542 for the design and construction of Phase II of the Veterans <br /> Memorial project at the Southern Campus in Chapel Hill. A portion of the funding <br /> ($30,000) was from County matching challenge funds budgeted in the General Fund, <br /> both in fiscal years 2017-18 and 2018-19.
