Blackwood <br /> 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough,North Carolina 27278 <br /> lk 919-245-2900 19 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br /> Community-Based Organization Grant <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this day of October 2020, by and between the Orange <br /> County Sheriffs Office ("OCSO") and Fathers on the Move,Inc, a North Carolina Not for Profit <br /> Corporation (EIN 61-1649111) having its principal place of business in Chapel Hill,North Carolina <br /> ("Grant Recipient"). <br /> WHEREAS, the OCSO's Mission is to be responsive to the needs of all members of our <br /> community without regard to the individual differences that make us unique; and <br /> WHEREAS, the OCSO's Vision for the community's future is that people of all ages are secure <br /> and able to move freely about as they live,work, raise their families, and age in place with dignity <br /> and support; and <br /> WHEREAS, the OCSO partners with many community-based organizations throughout the <br /> county to advance its Mission and Vision; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Grant Recipient administers an innovative program that provides transitional <br /> services to males over the age of 16 who are involved in the criminal justice system and have <br /> children as well as to all males needing support,guidance, and mentorship; <br /> WHEREAS, the Grant Recipient serves both voluntary clients and those who are court ordered <br /> to attend; and <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, the OCSO and the Grant Recipient, for the consideration and under the <br /> conditions hereinafter set forth, agree as follows: <br /> 1. Approved Grant. Grant funds are provided for use in the Grant Recipient's programs, <br /> which teach participants the skills and provide the support needed to integrate into <br /> mainstream society and to improve relationships with their children. <br /> 2. Grant Award. Grant funds in an amount of twenty-five-thousand dollars ($25,000.00) have <br /> been awarded by the OCSO and shall be released to the Grant Recipient. The grant cannot <br /> be assigned or transferred without prior written approval. <br /> 3. Responsibilities of the Grant Recipient. <br /> A. Use of Funds. Grant Recipient agrees to utilize the grant funds to provide <br /> transitional services to participants. Grant Recipient shall not use the grant funds to <br /> pay off or down existing bank debt or investor loans, to purchase equipment or <br />
