She said staff informed Durham County that Orange County <br /> would be delaying this project, and Durham County understood. <br /> Travis Myren said staff would want to move forward with $50,000 in road repairs. <br /> David Stancil said the actual total is $100,000 with the costs being split between to the <br /> two counties. <br /> Twin Creeks <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos said Twins Creek has been promised for a long, long time, <br /> and he has a hard time telling the public it will be delayed even further. <br /> Commissioner Price said she was on the committee for this park way back when, but <br /> she does not know where it stands at this point. She expressed she does not have a problem <br /> delaying this project, and would suggest staff get an update on this project. <br /> David Stancil said there is an adopted master plan, but it is 10-15 years old. He said <br /> there has been conversations with Carrboro about the road at the southern end of the property. <br /> He said these particular funds are design and engineering funds for year 3 of the project. He <br /> said this project has been delayed, but it also has other obstacles to overcome. <br /> Old Courthouse Square <br /> Travis Myren said this is repair funding, and staff would prioritize the roof. <br /> There were no comments. <br /> Vehicle Replacements <br /> Commissioner Price said she would like to know how old the vehicles that would be <br /> replaced. <br /> Travis Myren said he would get more information. <br /> Millhouse Road Park <br /> Chair Rich said this land is owned by the County, and is not within the Town of Chapel <br /> Hill City limits. <br /> There were no Board comments. <br /> Twin Creeks <br /> Travis Myren said this is construction money that was tied to engineering cost in the <br /> previous slide. <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos said delaying this item would push the start of construction to <br /> 20 years after the original plan was thought up. He said this item has been pushed too many <br /> times. <br /> Conservation Easements <br /> Commissioner Greene said she is clear on this issue now, but does not want to see <br /> them go. <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos agreed. <br /> Commissioner Price asked if there are projects in the queue where this money would be <br /> needed. <br /> David Stancil said there are about 12 farms that are interested in pursuing easements, <br /> and this project has always moved at the speed of funds available, which has been faster at <br />
