Call to Order <br /> A. Ms. Frances Castillo called meeting to order 6:06 pm. A quorum was not present. <br /> II. HRC Chair's Report <br /> A. Ms. Castillo announced that she wants to discuss how the HRC could be a part of the work of <br /> GARE and the One Orange campaign to assist with what is already occurring. <br /> B. Ms. Castillo noted that she wants the HRC Facebook to become more active. She discussed <br /> some information she received from outside sources about how to deal with comments and <br /> other things on the page, as well as how to decide what content will be posted and what that <br /> approval process would be like. <br /> 1. Ms. Annette Moore noted that the County has a Social Media Policy which includes how <br /> social media pages associated with the County should operate. <br /> 2. Ms. Castillo indicated she would talk to Ms. Moore about the existing policy and report <br /> back on the subject at the next meeting. <br /> III. County Updates <br /> A. Ms. Moore reported on the Orange County Community Remembrance Coalition's Zoom meeting <br /> on August 6,titled African Americans and the Ballot. She noted the recording in on the <br /> Department's website for those who missed it. <br /> B. Ms. Moore noted that the County dedicated some CARES funds to housing and preventing <br /> evictions. She stated that around 40 evictions were prevented by paying rent arrearages. <br /> Around $15,000 a day is currently being spent to pay for residents' rent arrearages and is <br /> projected to continue until the end of December.
