She asked if the <br /> Meals on Wheels program is taking care of any gaps within food distribution. <br /> Travis Myren said yes, Meals on Wheels has been very active. <br /> Commissioner Price referred to housing community and development, and said the link <br /> is rather indirect. She asked if staff would look into this. <br /> Travis Myren said yes. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin referred to page 22 (electronic version), under the County <br /> Economic Development Funds, and said there is a balance of-$325,000 in Emergency Loans <br /> and Grants program. He asked if the plan is to give those funds out, continuing on a rolling <br /> basis. He asked if these funds are being publicized. <br /> Travis Myren said the County is distributing the funds in rounds, and has already gone <br /> through two rounds. He said a third round would have to be opened to distribute more funds. <br /> He said, of the remaining balance, $50,000 is recommended to fund an Arts support program, <br /> since they did not apply for the small business grants program. He said the Economic Impact <br /> survey has been distributed to the private sector, and about 300 responses have been received. <br /> He said staff recommends using this data to create and execute a round 3 distribution. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin encouraged the County to keep moving forward and get the <br /> funds into people's hands as quickly as possible. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said the report notes a plan to use $175,000 to hire a consultant <br /> to help with long term recovery plans, but this evening's presentation intimated that these funds <br /> would be used for the actual recovery process. He asked if staff could clarify, as the County <br /> has a recovery coordinator. <br /> Travis Myren said the County does not have a recovery coordinator, and these funds <br /> have been used to hire Haggerty Consulting to project manage the recovery support functions. <br /> He said this consultant will serve in the long term recovery coordinator position. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin pointed out a line item that has -$105,000 allocated to a <br /> recovery coordinator. <br /> Travis Myren said this is one and the same with the Consulting firm, and he apologized <br /> for the confusion.
