The group will meet quarterly. <br /> Justice Advisory Substance The Jail/Mental Health Workgroup met in December 2019 <br /> Council — Abuse & and March 2020. <br /> Jail/Mental Health Mental Health • In collaboration with the Sherriff's Office, the group <br /> Workgroup updated the Jail Intake form to be more streamlined <br /> and to more easily track data. Data tracking began <br /> January 1, 2020. <br /> • Familiar Faces Workgroup — <br /> • Behavioral Health Task Force subcommittees <br /> include: <br /> o Familiar Faces — chaired by Alison Zirkel <br /> o Diversion/Crisis Center chaired by Tony <br /> Marimpietri <br /> o Day Center chaired by Corey Root <br /> o All have begun meeting and gathering data. <br /> Subgroups will provide quarterly updates to the <br /> main task force. <br /> • The Jail Psychiatry program underwent a warm hand <br /> off from Criminal Justice Resource Department to <br /> Freedom House; it's going well with better care <br /> coordination. <br /> • Jail Budget update: Re: Medication Assisted Therapy- <br /> Health Department will fund pregnancy tests and <br /> naloxone kits for the coming year. Drug screens and <br /> additional MD time probably through ABC grant. <br /> • New jail- opening is currently slated for May 2021. <br /> • Dr. Tim Daelman (FP) will begin a drop in clinic at <br /> University Methodist Church on Franklin St. UNC FP <br /> department is giving him the time and UMC is giving <br /> him the space. <br /> • Community Resource Court will be celebrating its <br /> 20th Anniversary. <br />
