1. Upon notification from the well contractor, the Orange County Health Department <br /> shall inspect the well abandonment process. . <br /> 2. Upon completion of a permanent well abandonment, the Orange County Health <br /> Department shall provide a Certificate of Completion,that a well abandonment <br /> inspection was completed and that the abandonment is in compliance with these <br /> Rules. A completed Well Abandonment Record form GW-30, stating the well was <br /> abandoned in compliance with the rules of this Section, must be submitted to the <br /> OCHD by the well contractor or well owner before a Certificate of Completion may be <br /> issued for the abandonment <br /> History Note: Substitute for NCAC 02C.0309 <br /> Eff. March 25, 2020 <br /> II. SECTION II -STANDARDS OF CONSTRUCTION FOR WATER SUPPLY WELLS <br /> A. LOCATION.( The permitting or construction of a well shall comply with the following Comment[VH42]: FORMATTING CHANGE INTO <br /> setbacks: A TABLE <br /> 1.A water supply well shall not be located in any area where surface water or runoff will <br /> accumulate around the well due to depressions, drainage ways, and other <br /> landscapes that will concentrate water around the well. <br /> 2.
