46 <br /> 1 The Board approved the Orange County Public Transportation's Agency Safety Plan, a <br /> 2 new requirement for transit agencies and sub-recipients who receive federal funds under the <br /> 3 Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Urbanized Area Formula Grants, and authorized the <br /> 4 submittal of the Safety Plan to the NC Department of Transportation. <br /> 5 i. Change in BOCC Meeting Schedule for 2020 <br /> 6 The Board approved changes to the Board of Commissioners' meeting calendar for <br /> 7 2020. <br /> 8 j. Performance Agreement Between the Town of Chapel Hill and Visitors Bureau <br /> 9 The Board approved the 2020-21 performance agreement between the Town of Chapel <br /> 10 Hill and the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 9. County Manager's Report <br /> 13 Bonnie Hammersley said there is a work session on September 10. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> 16 John Roberts said the legislature is returning tomorrow, with the primary stated focus of <br /> 17 COVID relief. <br /> 18 John Roberts referred to the Research Triangle Logistical Park information, which was <br /> 19 discussed at length earlier this evening. He said the BOCC has received a great deal of <br /> 20 information/communication about this topic, some of which is false and inaccurate. He said it is <br /> 21 unusual to have a rezoning project with such community interest, especially prior to the BOCC <br /> 22 even receiving the project materials. He encouraged the Board to keep an open mind. <br /> 23 Commissioner Marcoplos thanked John Roberts for his report. He asked if more <br /> 24 information can be included when notices are sent to neighbors, to better explain the process of <br /> 25 BOCC decisions. <br /> 26 John Roberts said the Planning Department gives much more information than is <br /> 27 required by law in its letters, but he will follow up with the exact details. <br /> 28 Commissioner Marcoplos said perhaps too much information is being sent out. <br /> 29 Bonnie Hammersley said staff is putting together an FAQ. <br /> 30 Travis Myren said it will be ready tomorrow. <br /> 31 Chair Rich said to refer the public to that page. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 11. * Appointments <br /> 34 NONE <br /> 35 <br /> 36 12.
