Fred called the meeting to order at 6:47p.m. <br /> II. Marlon moved to approve the March 2020 minutes. Linda seconded. <br /> III. Advisory Board Update (moved to end of agenda) <br /> IV. Director's Report: <br /> a. Orange County Arts Alliance update. <br /> We are seeking 5010 status. The first group of officers will be rolling off of <br /> the commission board. <br /> Fundraising will fall under this arm. We hope to start the joint executive <br /> committees meetings up again soon. <br /> b. Orange County Arts Support Fund(third round panel) <br /> Under $60,000 has been raised. The NC Arts Council provided a$15,000 <br /> grant. 15 of these grants were awarded across the state. Applications will be <br /> open July 20-31. We need panelists to review these applications. <br /> c. Eno Mill update. <br /> Diversity is important. We are especially seeking artists of color. Five <br /> talented artists are renting studio space now. We are getting ready to use <br /> the big open space. The mill has offered to rent this space to us. The <br /> county will make a decision regarding this after assessing legal concerns. <br /> d. #LoveHillsborough Community Art Project <br /> This is a public art project involving about 300 participants making 150 heart <br /> shaped mosaics. The mosaics will be displayed on a wall behind <br /> Weaver Street. <br /> e. Art on the Hill—July 2021 <br /> This is a county-wide public art project. Tinka is the board rep for this project. <br /> We are looking for grants and committee members. <br /> V. FY 20-21 Grants cycle <br />
