Art on the Hill. Partners from all towns and UNC have verbally committed to be <br /> involved. There is discussion about alternating <br /> Art on the Hill and the Local Roots Festival on a yearly basis. <br /> VI. Grants discussion: <br /> a. The board discussed the pros and cons of fully funding vs. partially funding <br /> grants. There was also discussion regarding caps. <br /> Tim made a motion to cap the artists' grants at$2000. Doris seconded the motion. <br /> The board voted unanimously to approve the motion. <br /> b. The recommended cap for grassroots grants is a range of$1000 -$3000. <br /> c. Katie and Dan will meet to discuss the Arts in Education Grants. <br /> d. The board discussed the handling of in-kind donation of artists' time. Doris <br /> moved and Justin seconded to keep this out of the budget, <br /> not allowing it as a cash match. The board voted unanimously to approve the <br /> motion. <br /> e. The board agreed that a compliance score should be included in the rubric. <br /> f. The board agreed that asking more project based questions and for more <br /> information on projects is a good idea. <br /> Doris moved to adjourn the meeting.
