ORANGE COUNTY ARTS COMMISSION <br /> March 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Chapel Hill Public Library <br /> Chapel Hill,NC <br /> Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair; Delia Keefe, Secretary; Tinka Jordy, Vice Chair; <br /> Dan Mayer, Linda Williamson, <br /> Doris Friend, Justin Haslett, Marlon Torres, Tim Hoke, Ashley Nissler <br /> Board Members absent:Anita Mills, Marcela Slade, Rachel Despard, Bronwyn Merritt <br /> Staff Present: Katie Murray, Executive Director; Emilie Menzel, Assistant <br /> I. Fred called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> II. Doris moved to approve the February 2020 minutes. Linda seconded. <br /> III. Executive Committee Update <br /> a. Orange County Arts Council <br /> Katie and Doris proposed that the Orange County Arts Council change its <br /> name to Orange County Arts Alliance. This was discussed and the change <br /> was approved by the board. <br /> Bylaws were finalized at the February 24th meeting. Katie will work on a draft <br /> of the federal forms for the March 23 meeting. <br /> b. A new OCAC assistant, Emilie Menzel, has been hired. <br /> c. Caterri Woodum has been asked to come on the board. She has not yet responded. <br /> IV. Advisory Board Update <br /> a. Nominations <br /> Krista Bremer, The Sun- very positive and excited. <br /> Brad Porter, Five Head Entertainment - musician with arts management <br /> experience <br /> Both of these individuals are very strong candidates. Tim moved and Ashley <br /> seconded approval of the candidates. <br /> The board voted unanimously to approve both. <br /> V. Director's Report: <br /> a. Eno Mill Project. Katie's office has moved to the mill. Katie is moving forward <br /> with leases for the studio spaces. 8 single spaces are filled. <br />
