ORANGE COUNTY ARTS COMMISSION <br /> November 11, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Chapel Hill Public Library <br /> Chapel Hill, NC <br /> Board Members present: Fred Joiner, Chair; Delia Keefe, Secretary; Dan Mayer, <br /> Linda Williamson, Marcela Slade, Marlon Torres, <br /> Rachael Despard, Tim Hoke, Chris Kubica, Ashley Nissler <br /> Board Members absent: Tinka Jordy, Anita Mills, Bronwyn Merritt, Doris Friend, <br /> Justin Haslett <br /> Staff Present: Katie Murray, Executive Director <br /> I. Fred called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> II. Tim moved to approve the October 2019 minutes. Marcela seconded. <br /> III. Executive Committee Report: <br /> a. The Orange County Arts Council bylaws are being edited. The bylaws <br /> are flexible and identify the council as a supportive network <br /> for the commission. Members of the commission need to receive all <br /> notifications in writing. Discussions about the bylaws <br /> included financial and fundraising involvement, and membership <br /> appointment and attendance requirements. There will be crossover <br /> in membership between the council and the commission. Katie will <br /> send out a final draft. <br /> b. There will be no December board meeting. <br /> IV. Director's Report: <br /> a. Katie's office will move to Meadowlands. <br />
