Orange County ABC Board <br /> Open Meeting Board Minutes <br /> Tuesday April 21,2020 <br /> 5.Management Updates: <br /> 1.Covid-19 Updates: There are steps being taken for the safety of our employees as well as am <br /> customers. We have reduced store hours to 10-8.Counter shields,line markings on the Boor and <br /> professional signs have been installed at all of the stores. Additional measures include <br /> professional disinfecting cleaning, hand sanitizer, masks and lowered capacity at each of am <br /> stores.Online virtual meetings will be held for our board meetings. <br /> Mr.Darosln stated he has visited a couple ofstores and the employees are doing a good job. <br /> 2.Paid Leave with Covid-19:Ms.Willoughby presented the Families First Coronavirus Response <br /> Act(FFCRA)and the obligations the board is responsible to meet. <br /> 3.Grant Applications: We extended the deadline for our Grant Applications and they will all be <br /> mailed to Board members next week.Mr.Bagby has elected to pick his up.All Law Enforcement <br /> applications will be sent by the end of the week. <br /> 6 Covid-19 Extra Duty Pay: The board granted extra pay increases of S2.00 per hour for employees during <br /> this trying time.The Board needs to officially vote on this matter as well as arecommended extension through <br /> the next board meeting on May 19'".The staff will ask for approval at each board meeting moving forward. <br /> Discussion was held.Mr.Lassiter made a motion to approve the$2.00 per hour increase for hours worked <br /> until the May 19a Board meeting,Ms.Carter seconded the motion and the vote carried. <br /> 7 2019-2020 Grant Payments 41° Qtr.: Grants are paid for alcohol education and rehabilitation, and law <br /> enforcement funding.With closures in place for many organizations,our contributions are not being utilized <br /> for the purposes required in our grant policy.Discussion was held.Mr.Bagby would like Ms.Cousins,Mr. <br /> DuBois and himself to collaborate and communicate to all grant recipients concerning how their funds will <br /> he utilized during the Covid-19 period. <br /> Mark Domain inquired about the adoption of the Orange County living wage standard.Discussion was held. <br /> Living wage will be discussed in the May meeting. <br /> Board Comments: <br /> Ms. Cousins: Ms.Cousins stated she has been sewing face masks and if anyone would like one,they <br /> can email bar. <br /> Mr. Bagby: Mr. Bagby inquired about the two Board openings and the chair appointment Mr. <br /> Dorosin responded:BOCC has a meeting tonight 421 and he will bring up Orange County ABC Board <br /> appointments.He will email tomorrow 422 with his findings.He also thanked everyone for a good job. <br /> Mr. Burns thanked everyone for doing a good job and how everyone is being so positive during this <br /> time. <br /> At 9:35 am,Ms.Carter made a motion to adjourn,Ms.Cousins seconded the motion and the vote carried <br /> Meeting adjourned. 0 1 <br /> Chair's Signa ate Board Secretary's Signature and Date <br /> Open Session 4/21/2020 Page 2 of 2 pages <br />
