Orange County ABC Board <br /> Open Meeting Board Minutes <br /> Tuesday January 14,2020 <br /> The Orange County ABC Board held its regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 8:30 AM at the <br /> ABC Board Administrative Office 601 Valley Forge Road Hillsborough,N.C. These are the minutes of the <br /> Open Session. <br /> Present: Keith Bagby,Chairman Pal Bums,Vice Chairman <br /> Jane Cousins,Member Elizabeth Carter, Member <br /> Mike Lassiter,Member Tony DuBois,General Manager <br /> Mark Dorosin,BOCC Liaison Angela Willoughby,Asst.General Manager <br /> Ron McCoy,Finance Officer Angel Neighbours, Board Secretary <br /> Absent: Chris Willett,Beemer,Hadler&.Willett,P.A., <br /> Visitors: Chief Duane Hampton and Sgt Chestnut,Hillsborough Police Department <br /> Lt Tony Sorrell,Chapel Hill Police Department <br /> Lt.Brian Whitehurst,Orange County Sheriff Department <br /> Brad Ward and Jr Perez,Carrbora Police Department <br /> Call to order: at 8:29 am, a quorum was present and Mr. Bagby, Board Chairman, called the <br /> regularly scheduled Board Meeting to Order. <br /> Mr. Bagby read the Mission Statement: The Mission of the Orange County ABC Board and our <br /> employees is to serve our locality responsibly by controlling the sale ofspirituous liquor,returning <br /> profits to Law enforcement, Alcohol Education,and the County Fund while providing excellent <br /> service in customer friendly,modern and efficient stores. <br /> Mr.Bagby read the Conflict of Interest Statement The question was asked:if anyone has a conflict <br /> of interest with respect to any matters on the agenda?AB present said nay. <br /> 1 Approval of the Open meeting Agenda: Mr. Burns made a motion to approve the amended agenda, <br /> Ms. Carter seconded the motion and Ike vote carried <br /> 2 Meeting Minutes: The Open and Closed Meeting Minutes for November 19, 2019 were presented. <br /> Discussion was held. Ms. Cousins made a moment to accept the open and closed session minutes,Mr. <br /> Burns seconded the motion and the vote carried <br /> 3. 2019-2020 Law Enforcement Mid-Year Reporting: <br /> Law Enforcement presented a mid-year update to the Board.Each Law Enforcement agency reported on <br /> their compliance checks, Bars training and collaborating together within the county. After each <br /> presentation,each agency answered questions from the Board.Mr.Burns has made contact with our new <br /> ALE Agent and he is very receptive to his emails. Mr.Bagby stated he would like the Board to have an <br /> ALE Training class. <br /> 4. Consent Agenda: November 2019 <br /> a. Financial Reports: <br /> i.Comparative Statement of Net Assets <br /> ii.Comparative Revenue and Expenses for November 2018 and November 2019 <br /> iii Actual-to-Budget November 2018 <br /> b.November 2019 and Year-to-Date Retail Sales <br /> c.Statewide Sales Report <br /> Discussion was held. Mr. Lassiter made a motion to approve the November 2019 Consent Agenda, <br /> Ms. Carle,seconded the motion and the vote carried <br /> Open Session 1/14/2020 Page 1 of 2 pages <br />
