The Orange County Zoning Ordinance requires an applicant to obtain <br />approval of a Class A Special Use Permit from the Boazd of Commissioners for the non- <br />residential use of an historic structure. In some cases, the use of historic structures may <br />not only involve the historic structure itself, but: also the surrounding property associated <br />with the structure. <br />The proposed amendment will clarify that Article 8.$.24 applies to the site on which a <br />historic structure.is located, as well as the historic structure itself. <br />EXISTING AND PROPOSED ORDINANCE TEKT: <br />8.8.24 ~ HISTORIC ~~ -NON RESIDENTIAL REUSE/NIIXED <br />iJSE (CLASS A SPECIAL USE) <br />$.8.24.1 <br />In addition to the information required in Subsections 8.2 and 8.8, the <br />following shall be supplied as part of the application: <br />a) The site plan, prepared by a North Carolina registered land <br />surveyor ar.engineer, shall also contain the following: <br />1) Location, width, and type of all internal vehiculaz and <br />pedestrian circulation. <br />2) Location and dimensions of all an-site signage. <br />
