ii. Successfully recruited and graduated Project EngAGE Class Five. 14 new senior leaders <br /> now educated and equipped with the resources needed to assist older adults with aging <br /> in community <br /> iii. Stronger partnership developed between OCEMS and OCDoA targeting older adults <br /> identified as having a high falls risk, needing adaptations to their home environment, <br /> and/or would benefit from receiving Aging Transitions services <br /> iv. Challenges <br /> 1. Securing greater participation and accountability from our community partners <br /> 2. Determining relevancy of MAP indicators that have not gained significant <br /> traction and possibly revamping or restructuring them to create relevancy <br /> b. Civic Participation and Employment <br /> i. Making progress, there are always mature job seekers no matter the economy. <br /> Providing tips, contacts, opportunities, and job match help. Working with NCBA to help <br /> them be more active and successful in Orange County <br /> ii. Participating in Orange County Job Fair Mar 25 <br /> iii. March 18 two training workshops at OC DSS, Mayo Street location (90 minute <br /> job/interview prep training prior to the Job Fair) <br /> iv. Hosting 3rd annual OC Employment Services Workshop <br /> v. OCDOA Mature Job Seekers Resource Guide updated and posted on web <br /> vi. Town of Hillsborough interested in knowing about OCDOA including employment <br /> services <br /> vii. Helping people identify what is their ideal job in the future and acceptable job for now <br /> viii. Due to Coronavirus concerns, Mike will be available by phone, email &text <br /> 14. MAP Ripple Effect Focus group—April 29 3- 6 p.m. <br /> a. Doctoral student, Cass Dictus, will explore the MAP indicators/accomplishments using the <br /> Ripple Effect method. Hosting event at the end of April to bring together stakeholders in an <br /> appreciative inquiry to share and record success and strength stories. Colin will be lead the <br /> event. Exploring what happened, how people in the community work together, what were the <br /> impacts. The plan is to discover, document, share not just OCDOA stories, but the community <br /> as a whole. Invite people who have been involved in the MAP process <br /> Committee Progress Reports if needed: <br /> 15. Dementia Friendly Business Campaign <br /> a. No report <br /> 16.
