b. Melissa Hunter, Aging Transitions/VC 55+ social worker, has resigned to take a position at RTI <br /> in the Aging, Disability and Long Term Care division. Her last day is March 20 <br /> i. Will need to fill her position, she will be missed but we are happy for her <br /> c. Currently advertising two Eldercare Social Work positions <br /> i. Now open and posted. Have MSW applicants apply. We only keep posted for two weeks <br /> d. Bobby Cobb on medical leave until June 1 <br /> e. Meghan Rushing— upcoming Maternity Leave <br /> i. Using New County maternity/paternity leave (6-weeks of paid leave) <br /> Continuing Business <br /> 8. Seymour Center Renovation Update <br /> a. Moving along. Rain delays but still on schedule. Putting down concrete for footings. There will <br /> never be less than 102 parking spaces throughout construction process <br /> 9. Census 2020 <br /> a. Reminder, we are one of the "You Count" sites with computers for public use. 15 public "You <br /> Count sites throughout the county. We can assist adults to get on the computer and/or call, <br /> but we cannot do anything to help them complete their census. If they don't do it online or by <br /> phone, they will get a paper copy, then a visit by a Census employee. It is important to <br /> complete, it effects our federal and state funding for the next 10 years. There will be outreach <br /> events throughout the County <br /> New Business <br /> 10. Triangle JCOG-AAA Annual Monitoring visit— March 25, 26, 31 <br /> a. It is still scheduled. Pre-monitoring was done prior to Annie leaving so that it won't be too <br /> overwhelming for our new Aging Transitions administrator <br /> 11. Budget FY 20-21 <br /> a. Review of Outside Agency Applications <br /> i. Thanks to Dick, Vibike and Teketha who reviewed outside agency applications and <br /> completed the score cards <br /> b. UNC Healthcare Support for Wellness Program <br /> i. We thought we weren't getting $25K from UNC Healthcare to support our Wellness <br /> Program, but UNC Healthcare did come through with funding this year <br /> c. Budget meetings with County manager, Finance, and Functional Leadership Team (must be <br /> prioritized and recommended by fellow human services leadership team. <br /> i. Requesting special offsite storage rental for Durable Medical Equipment <br /> 12. Need a delegate for the TJCOG —Area Agency on Aging board to replace Ed Tiryakian <br /> a. Jenny Womack volunteered to attend the once a quarter meetings starting next quarter. Thank <br /> you Jenny! <br /> 2017-22 Master Aging Plan <br /> 13. Second Quarter (Oct/Nov/Dec) MAP Workgroup Updates <br /> a. Community Support and Health Services <br /> i. Successful collaboration between OCDoA and UNC to create a new Capstone team <br /> tasked with initiatives addressing health disparities and inequities of African American <br /> older adults in rural Orange County <br /> 1. UNC Gillings Health Management & Policy HPM chose us for the Capstone team! <br /> Team of 5 ladies, enthusiastic & committed to working on inequities to our more <br /> northern part of county focused on African-American population. Church <br /> partnering with us: Lattisville Grove AME. The group is enthusiastic and <br /> committed. First focus group next Wednesday. <br />
