c. Communications and Information <br /> Accomplishments <br /> i. Established new and/or closer relationships with local radio (WHUP-Hillsborough) and <br /> newspaper outlets (The News of Orange County and The Local Reporter) resulting in <br /> improved outreach <br /> ii. Working with Communications Intern to improve outreach through social media and <br /> local radio: Targeted Facebook campaign, Search Engine Optimization project and <br /> WHUP-Hillsborough interviews <br /> iii. Key words and terms have been updated and/or added to our webpages to improve <br /> search engine results <br /> iv. Placed Department ads on all 13 OUT buses , rotating ad topics quarterly <br /> Challenges: <br /> v. Staff and volunteer time spent manually duplicating or manipulating information from <br /> our registration system (RecTrac) for use on our online events calendar and digital <br /> monitors <br /> vi. Continue to address challenges on evictions, health care issues losing their houses, taxes, etc. <br /> 17. Friends of the Passmore Center <br /> a. Fri., Jan. 17, 10:30-11:30 am —Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. — Free program <br /> featuring historian, Danita Mason-Hogans, <br /> b.
