Attachment 4 <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners will hold public hearings on Tuesday, <br />September 15, 2020 at 7:00 PM for the purpose of giving all interested residents an <br />opportunity to speak for or against the items below. Due to current public health <br />concerns, the hearings will be held on-line and pre-registration is required. <br /> <br />The meeting will be live streamed at the following web address for those who wish to only <br />view the meeting: www.orangecountync.gov/967/Meeting-Videos <br /> <br />To register to speak at the public hearing, please send an email to <br />ocpubliccomment@orangecountync.gov no later than 3:00 PM on the day of the hearing <br />and indicate you wish to speak during the hearing. <br /> <br />When submitting the request to speak, include the following: <br />• The date of the meeting <br />• The number and title of the agenda item (from the list below) you wish to <br />speak on <br />• Your name, address, email and phone number <br />• The phone number must be the number you plan to call in from if <br />participating by phone <br />After registering to speak, an email that contains instructions and a link to sign up to <br />access the hearing will be sent to the email address used to register. <br /> <br />If you do not have access to an internet-enabled computer and would like to phone in to <br />access the hearing, please call the office of the Clerk to the Board after September 9, <br />2020 at 919-245-2130 and a staff member will provide you with the call-in number. <br /> <br />Public Hearing Items: <br /> <br />1. Amendments to the Town of Hillsborough/Orange County Central Orange <br />Coordinated Area (COCA) Land Use Plan and to the Orange County <br />Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map (FLUM): In accordance with the <br />provisions of Section 2.3 Comprehensive Plan Amendments of the Unified <br />Development Ordinance, the Planning Director has initiated amendments to the <br />Central Orange Coordinated Area (COCA) Land Use Plan and to the Orange County <br />Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map (FLUM) in the vicinity of the southern <br />portion of the Hillsborough Area Economic Development District. The amendments <br />related to COCA affect 17 parcels (in whole or part) encompassing 84 acres. The <br />amendments related to the FLUM affect 20 parcels (in whole or part) encompassing <br />89 acres. The COCA proposed land use category is Suburban Office and the FLUM <br />proposed category is Economic Development. The affected parcels are as follows: <br />22
