I spent many years visiting and enjoying <br />Old Salem, and the rich history of the area. One of the reasons I fell in love with Hillsborough <br />and decided to move here with my family was because of the rich history in downtown. I have a <br />background in the arts, and have worked in historical homes (Reynolda House Museum of <br />American Art) as a docent and volunteer president (SECCA). I have a working knowledge of <br />conservatorship due to this along with my work at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I think it is of the upmost importance to preserve the history of our town for future generations. <br />In addition, the history is a draw for tourism to our town and I love talking about our town to <br />others and highlighting the history. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br />I have lived in various locations in our state, and in our country. I have dealt with various <br />opinions and those who fight for historical preservation in North Carolina and Mass. <br />10
