Page 2 of 2 Aimee McHale <br />Other Comments: <br />This application was current on:4/16/2019 Date Printed:4/17/2019 <br />Supplemental Questions: <br />Boards/Commissions appointments: <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I have long wanted to become more involved with community organizations, but have had an <br />extremely heavy teaching load which, combined with my responsibilities as the mother of a <br />teenager, have made it difficult for me to commit additional time. In my new role as a faculty <br />member in the Public Health Leadership Program at UNC, one of my responsibilities is to <br />maintain a connection to the public health community, so when I learned of an upcoming <br />vacancy on the BoH, it seemed like a natural fit. When I have attended BoH meetings in the <br />past, I have been favorably impressed with the board dynamics. As well, with the change in the <br />national administration and ongoing issues within the NC legislature, I believe that my particular <br />skills and experience - in law and public health, programs, policy and advocacy - would be useful <br />as the Board continues to work to secure and improve the health of Orange County residents. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />17
