I have been a member of many groups
from theatre to film in both creative and executive roles, and I have many friends and
collaborators involved in many more student arts organizations.
Reasons for wanting to serve on this board:
I want to bring groups (specifically student arts organizations) to the board s attention in order to
broaden their public platform. I want to help grow the community s appreciation of not only
student art, but also underrepresented student art such as arts groups representing POC and
LGBTQ+ groups as a few examples.
Conflict of Interest:
Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board:
My age and connection to UNC s campus groups gives me a unique perspective for the board.
Although I personally am not the most diverse person myself, I am committed and driven to
using this position as a platform to raise up diverse and underrepresented viewpoints in student
art.
6
