I have had experience in portrait, landscape and urban <br />photography as well as oil painting and drawing in various media. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I would like to get more involved in the community in which I call home, and I would like to learn <br />more about the way the Arts Commission can provide a positive impact in the daily lives of <br />Orange County citizens and visitors firsthand. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br />Having many years of experience in the Technology industry working for Microsoft, I may be <br />able to include valuable insight into the importance of more emergent forms of art and the ways <br />to include Technology in the discussion of advertising, promotion, and distribution of local art. <br />Having also been a student of art and technology, I have the vocabulary to connect and convey <br />with younger population segments. Being in my early 30’s currently gives me a unique <br />perspective on the digital divide in generations, having lived pre and post mainstream internet <br />usage. I understand and respect the validity of traditional art along with more experimental and <br />new forms of expression. <br />21
