<br /> <br /> <br />Department of Housing and Community Development <br /> <br /> <br />August 25, 2020 <br /> <br />Thom Freeman-Stuart <br />Deputy Clerk <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />200 South Cameron Street <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Freeman-Stuart, <br /> <br />The Orange County Affordable Housing Advisory Board (AHAB) recommended the reappointment of <br />current board members Mae McLendon, Allison Mahaley, and Jenn Sykes, and the appointment of Andy <br />Hoang and Holly Meschko to fill the two vacancies on the board. <br /> <br />The AHAB was impressed by all applications received from Orange County residents interested in <br />serving on the board, and feel that Mr. Hoang and Ms. Meschko will be especially strong additions due to <br />their active community involvement, first-hand experiences in affordable housing and real estate, and <br />diverse perspectives and expertise. <br /> <br />The AHAB respectfully requests the Orange County Board of County Commissioners considers the <br />reappointment of Ms. McLendon, Ms. Mahaley, and Ms. Sykes, as well as the appointment of Mr. Hoang <br />and Ms. Meschko. <br /> <br />Thank you, <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Erika Brandt <br />Community Development Manager <br />Housing and Community Development <br /> <br />6
