My military experiences required me to listen and <br />work with others from diverse backgrounds and experiences to lead to effective team <br />performance. <br />Social justice is a component of the nursing profession that I would bring to the Board’s <br />discussions as well as my experiences in working and living in highly diverse communities prior <br />to my move to Chapel Hill in 2017. <br />I have a policy background, both health policy and military policy, and am versed in the nuances <br />of policy and analysis of policy outcomes. Any effort to prioritize housing needs would need to be <br />done within regulatory and legislated policy guidelines. <br />40
