Year-to-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year 2019- <br /> 20. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department on Aging <br /> 1. The Department on Aging has received additional revenue for the Operation Fan Program <br /> from Duke Energy and Valassis Energy, totaling $2,750, to purchase fans for Orange <br /> County adults 60 years old and over. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> these donated funds. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br /> associated with this item. <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 2. The Department of Social Services has received $7,155 in Community Giving donations <br /> for food pantry and school supplies. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> these donated funds for the above stated purpose. <br /> 3. The Department of Social Services has received $13,985 in additional one-time Low <br /> Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) Block Grant funds for client assistance with <br /> heating and cooling bills. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of the additional Community Giving <br /> donations and LIEAP funds for the above stated purposes.
