General Fund Appropriations for Local School Districts 12 The following FY 2020-21 General Fund Appropriations for Chapel Hill-Carrboro 13 City Schools and Orange County Schools are approved: 14 15 a) Current Expense appropriation for local school districts totals $89,012,561, and equates 16 to a per pupil allocation of$4,367. 17 1) The Current Expense appropriation to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is 18 $53,395,309. 19 2) The Current Expense appropriation to the Orange County Schools is 20 $35,617,252. 21 b) School Related Debt Service for local school districts totals $18,297,557. 22 c) Additional County funding for local school districts totals $6,629,597 23 24 (1) School Resource Officers and School Health Nurses Contracts - total 25 appropriation of$3,629,597 to cover the costs of School Resource Officers 26 in every middle and high school, and a School Health Nurse in every 27 elementary, middle, and high schools in both school systems. 28 (2) Deferred maintenance funding of$3,000,000 by ADM is allocated to the 29 school systems by the following: Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools 30 appropriation is $1,799,700 and Orange County Schools appropriation is 31 $1,200,300. 32 33
