28 <br /> 1 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County Board of <br /> 2 Commissioners expresses its intent to adopt the FY2020-21 Orange County Budget <br /> 3 Ordinance on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, based on the following stipulations: <br /> 4 <br /> 5 1) Property Tax Rates <br /> 6 <br /> 7 a) The ad valorem property tax rate shall be set at 86.79 cents per$100 of <br /> 8 assessed valuation. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 b) The Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools District Tax shall be set at 20.18 cents <br /> 11 per $100 of assessed valuation. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 c) The Fire District and Fire Service District tax rates shall be set at the <br /> 14 following rates (all rates are based on cents per $100 of assessed valuation): <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> • Cedar Grove 8.10 <br /> • Greater Chapel Hill Fire Service District 14.91 <br /> • Damascus 10.80 <br /> • Efland 6.78 <br /> • Eno 9.68 <br /> • Little River 5.92 <br /> • New Hope 10.67 <br /> • Orange Grove 6.81 <br /> • Orange Rural 9.48 <br /> • South Orange Fire Service District 9.68 <br /> • Southern Triangle Fire Service District 10.80 <br /> • White Cross 12.37 <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 2) County Employee Pay and Benefits Plan <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Provide a County employee pay and benefits plan that includes: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 a. No Wage increase or Merit pay for FY 2020-21 <br /> 28 <br /> 29 b. Continue the $27.50 per pay period County contribution to non-law enforcement <br /> 30 employees' supplemental retirement accounts and the County matching <br /> 31 employees' contributions up to $63.00 semi-monthly (for a maximum annual <br /> 32 County contribution of$1,512) for all general (non-sworn law enforcement <br /> 33 officer) employees; continue the mandated Law Enforcement Officer contribution <br /> 34 of 5.0% of salary, and continue the County's required contribution to the Local <br /> 35 Governmental Employees' Retirement System (LGERS) for all permanent <br /> 36 employees.
