Make recommendations for the project evaluation process for the CFE to use moving <br /> 5 forward <br /> 6 <br /> 7 The Climate Mitigation Review Team conducted three virtual meetings to discuss and agree on <br /> 8 the attached guidance document that refines and clarifies the eligibility and scoring for Climate <br /> 9 Action Fund grant projects beginning in the FY 2020-21 round. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The recommended eligibility and scoring criteria will clarify the project selection process and <br /> 12 ensure that the funds continue to be allocated in alignment with the intentions of the Board of <br /> 13 Commissioners. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Climate Action Tax is projected to generate $478,657 in funds in FY <br /> 16 2020-21, and the Board of Commissioners intends to identify impactful projects and distribute <br /> 17 these funds promptly to accelerate action on the urgent issue of climate change and help to <br /> 18 further stimulate the local economy. <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Brennan Bouma, Sustainability Director, made the following PowerPoint presentation: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Climate Action Fund <br /> 23 Eligibility and Scoring Guidelines <br /> 24 June 2, 2020 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Climate Action Fund — FY19-20 Projects <br /> 27 $469,272 total <br /> 28 o $150,000 — Supplemental Weatherization <br /> 29 o $150,000 — Solar for Schools - OCS <br /> 30 o $150,000 — Solar for Schools - CHCCS <br /> 31 o $19,272 LED Light Campaign <br /> 32 <br /> 33 <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Climate Action Fund —Allocation Timeline <br /> 36 *Application cycle for the FY20-21 funds to run in the Fall and then follow it with the FY21-22 <br /> 37 cycle in the Spring.
