County Manager's Report <br /> 17 Bonnie Hammersley thanked the Board for its support through the budget process. <br /> 18 Bonnie Hammersley said staff is working with the Orange County Schools (OCS) on its <br /> 19 lease for IT equipment, and the Board of Education (BOE) is working on this next week. She <br /> 20 said it does require the Board's approval. She said staff will monitor this closely, and if a brief <br /> 21 zoom meeting is needed on this issue, she will let the Board know. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> 24 John Roberts said last week he gave the Board a report on the General Assembly bills, <br /> 25 and one issue involves agri-tourism. He said the County cannot regulate those from a land use <br /> 26 position. He said the Governor just signed a bill expanding these uses, and those who have <br /> 27 concerns should contact the legislature, as there is little the BOCC can do. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 11. *Appointments <br /> 30 <br /> 31 a. Durham Technical Community College Board of Trustees —Appointment <br /> 32 Discussion <br /> 33 The Board considered making a reappointment to the Durham Technical Community <br /> 34 College Board of Trustees. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Bedford to <br /> 37 appoint the following to the Durham Tech Community College Board of Trustees: <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Position 2 Lee Storrow BOCC Appointee to a Second Full Term expiring 06/30/2024 <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Commissioner Marcoplos nominated Katie Loovis. <br /> 42 No Second. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 45 <br /> 46 12.
