He said <br /> 36 due to increase in County spending there will be a 6% property tax increase over the next few <br /> 37 years. He said there is no relief in sight for residents, and the County government is bloated <br /> 38 with wasted funds. <br /> 39 Kristin Driggers said during the last meeting Chair Rich suggested creating an <br /> 40 emergency technology fund by reallocating library funding, and the Orange County Board of <br /> 41 Commissioners voted instead to fund the Chapel Hill Library. She implored the BOCC to <br /> 42 reconsider its vote. <br /> 43 Sonia Dashe echoed the previous speaker. She asked if the Board would please delay <br /> 44 its vote on the budget, and reexamine it from an equity mindset in order to benefit the <br /> 45 community from a human services role, as opposed to punishment. <br /> 46 Commissioner Price referred to the County fee schedule, and said it is out of date.
