She said the fees were zero last year because <br /> 40 the health department did not have an ultrasound machine. She said fees are set on a <br /> 41 sliding scale. <br /> 42 Commissioner Dorosin referred to the fees on the sheet given to the Commissioners, <br /> 43 and said it described several things identically, but with different charges. He asked if there <br /> 44 is a reason for these varying prices, for seemingly the same services. <br /> 45 Quintana Stewart said sometimes the fees vary between a new, versus an <br /> 46 established, patient; and some may be based on age group. She said she does not have <br /> 47 that information in front of her. <br /> 48 Commissioner Dorosin mentioned a few specific charges. <br /> 49 Quintana Stewart said she is not sure, and would have to ask her technicians about <br /> 50 ultrasounds. She said the fees for vaccines are based on costs. <br />
