1 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Attachment 2 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 DRAFT MINUTES <br /> 6 ORANGE COUNTY <br /> 7 BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> 8 VIRTUAL BUSINESS MEETING <br /> 9 JUNE 2, 2020 <br /> 10 7:00 p.m. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 The Orange County Board of Commissioners met for a Virtual Business Meeting on Tuesday, <br /> 13 June 2, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Rich and Commissioners Jamezetta Bedford, <br /> 16 Mark Dorosin, Sally Greene, Earl McKee, Mark Marcoplos, and Renee Price <br /> 17 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br /> 18 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br /> 19 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy County Manager <br /> 20 Travis Myren and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff members will be identified <br /> 21 appropriately below) <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Chair Rich called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 Due to current public health concerns, the Board of Commissioners conducted a Virtual <br /> 26 Business meeting on June 2, 2020. Members of the Board of Commissioners participated in the <br /> 27 meeting remotely. As in prior meetings, members of the public were able to view and listen to <br /> 28 the meeting via live streaming video at orangecountync.gov/967/Meeting-Videos and on <br /> 29 Orange County Gov-TV on channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). <br /> 30 <br /> 31 In this new virtual process, there are two methods for public comment. <br /> 32 . Written submittals by email <br /> 33 • Speaking during the virtual meeting <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Detailed public comment instructions for each method are provided at the bottom of this <br /> 36 agenda. (Pre-registration is required.) <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br /> 39 1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Commissioner Price said she would like to add a moment of silence. <br /> 42 Chair Rich suggested having it in conjunction with the Resolution below- proposed item <br /> 43 4-a: <br /> 44 <br /> 45 ADD Resolution at Item 4-a: <br /> 46 A RESOLUTION DENOUNCING THE MURDER OF GEORGE FLOYD AND ADDRESSING <br /> 47 THE HEALTH DIRECTOR'S DECLARATION OF STRUCTURAL RACISM AS A "PUBLIC <br /> 48 HEALTH CRISIS" IN ORANGE COUNTY <br /> 49 <br /> 50 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Greene to add <br /> 51 this Resolution as Item 4-a to tonight's agenda. <br />
