Change in BOCC Meeting Schedule for 2020 <br /> The Board approved changes to the Board of Commissioners' meeting calendar for 2020 to <br /> make the June 2020 BOCC meetings virtual. <br /> 9. County Manager's Report <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said there will be a Budget Work Session on May 21st <br /> 10. County Attorney's Report <br /> John Roberts said the General Assembly (GA) has been focused on Covid-19 issues, <br /> and today was the last day for local bills. <br /> 11. *Appointments <br /> NONE <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos said Commissioner McKee proposed meeting in person on <br /> June 2nd, and asked if there is a status update on this. He said he is prepared to make a <br /> motion that the BOCC not meet in person. <br /> Chair Rich said there is a State of Emergency in place that does not allow gatherings of <br /> more than 10 people. <br /> Commissioner Marcoplos said he supported that, and now is not the time to get cavalier. <br /> Commissioner McKee said it was a petition, and was in line with the governor's phasing <br /> in. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin referred to the follow up list for petitions, and whether Chapel Hill <br /> Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) has signed a janitorial contract. He said he still thinks a task <br /> force is needed to look into the issue of in house versus contract services, even if CHCCS has <br /> already signed a contract. <br /> Commissioner Bedford said Commissioner Dorosin is misreading it, and the petition to <br /> have a task force created is still on the list. <br /> 12.
