List of County Capital <br />Projects to be Closed <br /> Paul Laughton, (919) 245-2152 <br />Gary Donaldson, (919) 245-2453 <br /> <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendments for fiscal year <br />2019-20. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />Housing and Community Development <br /> <br />1. Housing and Community Development has expanded the Housing Stabilization <br />program to centralize payments on behalf of municipalities in Orange County. <br />Payments made on behalf of the Towns are to be reimbursed by the Towns to the <br />County. This budget amendment provides for an additional appropriation of $54,907 for <br />housing stabilization and the receipt of a matching amount of reimbursement revenue <br />from the Towns. (See Attachment 1, column #1) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br />applicable to this item: <br />• GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br />necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br />themselves and their dependents. <br /> <br />Emergency Services <br /> <br />2. Emergency Services has received $31,479 as part of the CARES Act Provider Relief <br />Fund. These funds will be used for COVID-19 related expenditures. This budget <br />amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above stated purpose. (See <br />Attachment 1, column #2) <br /> <br />1
