<br /> <br />Orange County seeks to create, preserve, and protect a natural environment that includes clean <br />water, clean air, wildlife, important natural lands, and sustainable energy for present and future <br />generations. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: The following Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br />impact is applicable to this item: <br />• ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND WASTE REDUCTION <br />Initiate policies and programs that: 1) conserve energy; 2) reduce resource consumption; <br />3) increase the use of recycled and renewable resources; and 4) minimize waste stream <br />impacts on the environment. <br /> <br />The provision of emergency storm debris management services will minimize waste stream <br />impacts on the environment. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board authorize the Manager to <br />sign an Agreement with Ceres Environmental Services, Inc. for the purpose of providing <br />Emergency Storm Debris Clearance and Removal as a secondary provider for an initial three <br />year term, and to sign future renewals and amendments. <br />2
