1 <br /> <br /> ATTACHMENT 1 1 <br /> 2 <br />DRAFT MINUTES 3 <br />ORANGE COUNTY 4 <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS 5 <br />VIRTUAL BUSINESS MEETING 6 <br />MAY 19, 2020 7 <br />7:00 p.m. 8 <br /> 9 <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met for a Virtual Business Meeting on Tuesday, 10 <br />May 19, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. 11 <br /> 12 <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chair Rich and Commissioners Jamezetta Bedford, 13 <br />Mark Dorosin, Sally Greene, Earl McKee, Mark Marcoplos, and Renee Price 14 <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: 15 <br />COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts 16 <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: County Manager Bonnie Hammersley, Deputy County Manager 17 <br />Travis Myren and Clerk to the Board Donna Baker (All other staff members will be identified 18 <br />appropriately below) 19 <br /> 20 <br /> Chair Rich called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Due to current public health concerns, the Board of Commissioners (BOCC) conducted a 23 <br />Virtual Business meeting on April 21, 2020. Members of the Board of Commissioners 24 <br />participated in the meeting remotely. As in prior meetings, members of the public were able to 25 <br />view and listen to the meeting via live streaming video at orangecountync.gov/967/Meeting-26 <br />Videos and on Orange County Gov-TV on channels 1301 or 97.6 (Spectrum Cable). 27 <br /> 28 <br />In this new virtual process, there are two methods for public comment. 29 <br />• Written submittals by email 30 <br />• Speaking during the virtual meeting 31 <br /> 32 <br />Detailed public comment instructions for each method are provided at the bottom of this 33 <br />agenda. (Pre-registration is required.) 34 <br /> 35 <br /> 36 <br />1. Additions or Changes to the Agenda 37 <br /> 38 <br /> Bonnie Hammersley said Item 6a – Eviction Diversion Program and Approval of 39 <br />Budget Amendment #9-A will be deferred until June 2nd, or earlier, as staff has found out 40 <br />about the Cares Acts Funds, and they anticipate they may be using these funds for 41 <br />departments. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Public Charge 44 <br /> The Chair acknowledged the public charge. 45 <br /> 46 <br />Arts Moment 47 <br /> No Arts Moment will be available for this meeting. 48 <br /> 49 <br />2.
