Now a resident of the community, I would like to use my time and <br /> talent to help DTCC thrive in these changing times. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> Conflict of Interest: <br /> I believe my company(GSK)and/or our foundation (GSK Foundation for NC) has funded DTCC <br /> in the past, but I am not aware of a current financial relationship. <br /> Workforce Development Board - Regional Partnership (CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING APP <br /> Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br /> I am currently earning my doctorate in community college leadership from NC State with a focus <br /> on workforce development and labor market outcomes; I'm leading the contract from Orange <br /> County Government to study the skilled construction trades talent pipeline and the feasibility of a <br /> trades center in Orange County; and I'm leading the contract from the Carrboro Tourism <br /> Development Authority to build new assets to promote more tourism and economic development <br /> for the town. Further, my role as VP of The Chamber allows me to support and advocate for <br /> stronger workforce development connections and initiatives. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I believe I could both learn and add value through service on this board. I hope to better connect <br /> our business community throughout Orange County in the current and future regional workforce <br /> development programs and planning. <br /> Contribution to the diversity of viewpoints on this board: <br /> This —23-member board serves five counties but has only 1 board member representing Orange <br /> County. I hope to collaborate with the other Orange County Board member to represent our <br /> county and also amplify the voice of our business community.
