30 <br /> 1 Commissioner Dorosin said the BOCC may need more information first, and he asked if <br /> 2 the next collaboration meeting is scheduled. <br /> 3 Chair Rich said there is not a date scheduled yet, as a mutually agreeable date has not <br /> 4 been found. <br /> 5 Commissioner Dorosin said not to have the item on the 281h agenda, but to have Chair <br /> 6 Rich draft letter to school chairs with this meeting's transcript. He said the meeting next week <br /> 7 may be too soon, and he does not want to spring it on the schools. <br /> 8 Chair Rich said she supports doing some type of survey. <br /> 9 Commissioner Dorosin said more information is needed prior to doing a poll. <br /> 10 Chair Rich thanked Commissioner Dorosin for his ongoing commitment to this issue. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br /> 13 5. Arts Commission—Appointments Discussion <br /> 14 <br /> 15 BACKGROUND: <br /> 16 The following appointment information is for Board consideration. As the Designated County <br /> 17 Partner with the NC Arts Council, the Arts Commission is required to conduct its annual grants <br /> 18 cycle during the summer of 2020. Potential board members are recruited to ensure all areas of the <br /> 19 arts are properly represented during grants review panels. Brad Porter and Krista Bremer <br /> 20 represent the performing and literary arts, respectively, and their perspective and knowledge is <br /> 21 needed for the upcoming grants panels. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 A motion was made by Commissioner Greene, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> 25 appoint the following to the Arts Commission: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Position 4 Daniel Mayer At-Large Second Full Term Expiring 03/31/2023 <br /> 28 Position 5 Tinka Jordy At-Large One Year Term Extension Expiring 03/31/2021 <br /> 29 Position 9 Krista Bremer At-Large First Full Term Expiring 03/31/2023 <br /> 30 Position 10 Marlon Torres At-Large Second Full Term Expiring 03/31/2023 <br /> 31 Position 11 Brad Porter At-Large First Full Term Expiring 03/31/2023 <br /> 32 <br /> 33 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 34 <br /> 35 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Marcoplos to <br /> 36 adjourn the meeting at 10:24 p.m. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 <br /> 39 Penny Rich, Chair <br /> 40 <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Donna S.
